The Resin Marble™ metallic epoxy flooring system was chosen as the existing tiles weren’t the right fit for the restaurant’s makeover
and new tiles weren’t considered because the owner wanted to avoid grout lines and “open up” the space. The floor also had to be easy
to clean as the restaurant had sliding partitions that were fully open during business hours.
-
A custom copper marble design was applied over the top of tiles to bring out the colour of the wooden furnishings (including a
spectacular overhanging tree feature) and help create a traditional Japanese feel with a modern twist. A semi-gloss polish was also
applied over the finish for easier maintenance.
-
Installation was carried out in a busy retail space and dining precinct, so a product free of pungent odours and dangerous
solvents was a priority.
