At Real World Epoxies, a big source of satisfaction comes from helping floor owners, designers and architects get the custom floor they dream of. It’s just what we do! Here’s another quick example:
The John Platten Bar was a 222m2 feature of the Audi Stadium Club in the Eastern Stand of the new Adelaide Oval and represented
the very best in modern corporate sporting hospitality. We were invited to deliver a custom epoxy floor in this luxurious facility that had
to overcome several design and installation challenges.
The first was bringing the concrete subfloor up to scratch. This not only included the widespread repair of cracks and other damaged areas, but also the installation of durable epoxy ramps in doorways and entrances.
The second challenge was the designer epoxy floor itself and bringing the architect’s
vision of a marbled, two-tone finish in the Dulux “Mt. Eden” colour to life.
The final custom element involved the need for greater slip resistance around the bar. The answer here was the application of a clear, non-slip topcoat to the service area immediately in front of the counter that provided the required slip rating and preserved the beautiful new look.
Peter from Hames Sharley Architects was full of praise at the end of the project and said he had no problem recommending our services to colleagues and future clients.
Take care and keep smiling,
