Custom Flooring Design - From Inspiration to Installation
In this post, I share the process of creating a customised design for a new Footlocker superstore in
Melbourne, Australia.
As with most projects that require a "de-fit", there's a lot of work required to get the subfloor right. You can see from the
photos part way through the project that the floor is looking quiet flat and level:
There's tremendous satisfaction in seeing a custom designed floor after fit out and noting how effective the right design is to the "feel" of the space.
It was a great result and a great team effort!
Special thanks to Design Design for their persistence and belief in the concept, and for the installation team at Granicrete for
working through the challenges to deliver a consistent look and feel across 500 square metres, including steps and stair landing.
